this silicone case is much to big for the new garmin approach G6 golf gps. will be sending this case back

Truth be told, the product description here does not explain in detail compatable GPS models. I had to dig on 3 other sites before I found another reviewer who had my GPS (Garmin Oregon 450) who said that it fit. I would suggest seller (Amazon?) to a little better job with the product description - a full listing of devices that fit with this is pretty important. It was not originally designed for the Oregon although it fits perfectly - the power button "nipple" on this case is not exactly on top of the actual power button (but it's not hard to find). Overall I am very happy with this case - it's inexpensive and great protection for something that will clearly be used outdoors.

I just received this and love it already! I bought the Garmin Dakota 20, and it came with the nylon case with clear screen, which is slightly more expensive than this case. I didn't like the nylon one at all. With the clear screen attached to the case, it was difficult to see and use the Dakota's touchscreen. I even tried turning the nylon case around so the screen was on the back, and that didn't quite do the trick either. It was just clunky. I ordered this, and I love it. It slipped right on perfectly and even has the power button outline on it. This may seem like a small thing, but I appreciated it being there because there is no doubt where the power button is. I highly recommend this case for anyone with a Garmin Dakota. As a matter of fact, I think it is a necessity. I geocache, so my GPS assuredly gets bumped around. This case protects it without being bulky.
